Score Free Woolly | Threadless

Score Free Woolly | Threadless until Nov 19th, 2013: Sorry, It's Too Late to... Free Woolly. The weekend is here and I just wanted to do something a little twisted. Not sure why I picked this theme because ever since I was a child, I actually loved the Woolly Mammoth. I still get excited when I hear all that talk about cloning, especially when a perfectly preserved specimen has been discovered somewhere deep in the frozen tundra. Maybe it's not too late for this furry friend?!

RedBubble Monsters Challenge

His Bite is Much Worse Than Their Bark:

Looks like my nightmare design was selected as a finalist in the RB Monsters Challenge. The winner will be determined by popular vote. If you like my art, please vote for my design at http://redbubble-monsters.strutta.com/entry/3767539

Like most kids, this boy has experienced some of the most terrifying nightmares. Scary monsters climb out from closets and underneath beds on a mission to deprive children (and their parents) from a peaceful nights sleep.
Unlike most kids, this boy refuses to be bullied and he fights back. He latches onto the Alpha Monster's leg and sinks his teeth into the fantastical beast. The Others are stunned as the now victimized monster writhes in agony. One creature attempts to hold the young boy back to no avail.
Let's just say that this boy's nightmares won't be returning anytime soon.

Remember, please vote for this design at http://redbubble-monsters.strutta.com/entry/3767539
Thanks,
Mudge

Fraggle Rock 30 Year Anniversary Threadless Challenge

Threadless recently provided the opportunity to revisit the eighties when Fraggle Rock sposored a design contest to celebrate 30 years of Fraggle Rock. I grew up with the first airing of the Muppet Show, so it was an honor to be able to partricipate. Mudge Studios submitted 5 designs featuring a  variety of styles and concepts. If you see anything you like please support Mudge Studios with a nice score. The links are included with each entry below.
Scoring is open 'til May 21, 2013

Fraggle Rock 30th Anniversary Threadless Challenge Submission featuring Fraggle Rock 30 Year anniversary concept featuring Red Fraggle with 30 years pom poms cheering away as the other fraggles admire. A couple of doozers look on in the foreground.

Red Fraggle is featured here celebrating Thirty years of Fraggle Rock with her hands.
Here we have a Doozer looking through the binoculars at Mount Fragglemore. Wembley, Gobo, Mokey and Boober are sculpted into the face of the mountain while Red Fraggle is featured on the 30th Anniversary signage.
Move over Mount Rushmore, Mount Fragglemore has taken your place as America's most recognized Rock.

After 30 years Gobo has truly found the way to rock out. That's right... Gobo Fraggle is plugged in!

Red Fraggle discovers the cutest thing in the whole universe... a radish that kinda looks like her. Red fraggle adoringly looks upon her discovery and says "you complete me".

Plain White Tees Challenge at Threadless

Worked hard last week to come up with three new designs for the Threadless Challenge spotlighting the awesome band known as the Plain White T's. The challenge required the design to feature either glow in the dark or uv inks or both. I went the route of the uv inks because I had never design for them. I also love the idea that part of the design doesn't reveal itself until the shirt is exposed to sunlight. I really enjoyed this challenge as I listened to a ton of Plain White Tees music which kept me inspired. If you have a chance, would you please take the time to score Mudge Studios designs over at Threadless

Scoring is open 'til May 10, 2013.
This Plain White T's sub was inspired by their song the Giving Tree complete with the pocket knife that carved the heart into what was at one time the great giving tree. A stump remains as the singer/ songwriter wails away on his acoustic guitar. The choices were to either nurture love and build a home or build that sail boat, forsake love and sail away. Great song!

Hulk Challenge at Threadless

Hey all, just trying to figure out the best way to get my Threadless submissions out there. Looking into Tumblr, Flicker, Pinterest, etc. to see what drives the most traffic to Mudge Studios Threadless page. There are a very limited number of days available for open scoring- so I need to determine how to use my time wisely when promoting these subs. I believe that Voting is open until May 02, 2013. If you have a chance, Please vote and score some of my Hulk Tee shirt designs over at Threadless.
In this experiment, I've included all six Hulk subs, each with a caption and a link to the Threadless site where one can score the designs. Thanks for browsing!

Green Hulk and Red Hulk Arm Wrestling

Gray Hulk

Hulk as The Thinker

Green Hulk Not Happy Anymore
This is the revised version of the Incredibly Happy Hulk t-shirt design that I first submitted for the challenge. I made some major changes to the Hulk's facial expression. Let's just say... Hulk Not Happy Anymore.
Hulk Burden Earth
Hulk Burden Earth
For this Hulk challenge I've depicted Hulk as Atlas struggling under the tremendous weight of the Earth as the human race as a whole finally succumbs to temptation, of total selfishness, greed, corruption and violence towards one another. The fall of man is symbolized by a fiery rage that has completely over shadows even the notorious rage of Hulk. Hope you like it.

Hulk The Thinker - Threadless Challenge

Hulk Threadless Challenge by MudgeStudios

Voting open until May 02, 2013. If you have a chance, Please vote and score some of my Hulk Tee shirt designs over at Threadless.
Featured above we have Hulk in the classic Thinker's pose struggling and saying it ain't easy being gray. Click the following link to score it http://thrdl.es/~/2a0c A pathetic frog looks up at the Hulk and sighs- yeah, try being Green. Of course, everybody knows that It Ain't Easy Being Green. Well, everybody except for the Incredible Hulk.
This sub was Inspired by Rodin's classic sculpture The Thinker. Featured is the gray skinned version of The Hulk as seen in the debut of the Incredible Hulk back in 1962. Originally Stan Lee wanted gray because it was a neutral skin color and did not point to a particular ethnicity. Green was finally chosen after seeing all of the inconsistencies with the gray skin tones in the first publication.
