Alex and Lilly Idol Tribute Designs

Looks like American Idol has just thrown us their first real blindsides of Season 9 with the elimination of a couple of young, bright, talented artists. I'm still scratching my heads as to how Indie artist Lilly Scott and that nineteen year old Alex Lambert from Texas could be ousted- while certain others move on into the coveted top 12.

The first surprise was to see Alex Lambert go. This kid from Texas certainly has one of the most unique voices of this season, unfortunately Alex seemed to have a serious case of stage nerves. Seems that just as Alex was starting to warm up and really starting to feel comfortable with himself,  he gets shown the door. Alex obviously lacked experience and it's too bad that American Idol can't be that vehicle for him to gain more of it. On a positive note, Alex isn't obligated contractually with American Idol any longer, so other opportunities could indeed open up for him.  This kid will go places. Anyway, Mudge Studios had come up with a couple of new American Idol t-shirt designs inspired by some of last week's Idol performances. The first, is our Winged Heart and Scrolling Microphone design for Alex Lambert Fans.  This design was created prior to the disapointing results show, but we are keeping them up for sale until the conclusion of the season. Our Unique Alex Lambert winged heart fan gear makes great Gift Ideas for your  friends and family who love Alex too. Although gone from the American Idol  competition, You can still Support Alex Lambert when you wear our Alex Lambert Shirts, Hats, Mugs and  Stickers.
The next surprise was the lack of support for Lilly Scott- resulting in her dismissal from Idol. This young lady is very talented and seemed most comfortable in her own skin- Lilly knows what kind of recording artist that she wants to be. Was it song choice that sunk her? Although I loved the performance, I'm not sure that a Patsy Cline song was the best idea for capturing the support of the demographic that actually votes on American Idol. Maybe Lilly was just too quirky and mainstream America is just not ready for
this type of Indie Artist. Could also be that Lilly was considered by many to be a genuine contender, easily sliding into the deeper rounds. May just come down to Lilly's fans being lazy or even complacent that she'd surely secure a spot in the top 12. Who knows for sure, but at least we'll be sure of one thing... Lilly will go on to record some great music for a fan base that will be supportive of her uniqueness. For the remainder of Season 9, Mudge Studios is permitted to post for sale on its CafePress shop a Variety of Lilly Scott Designs on Shirts, Hats, Mugs, Stickers for Lilly Scott Fans of all ages. Lilly Scott Designs include: Distressed Guitar, Winged Heart and American Idol Microphone. Our Unique Lilly fan gear makes great Gift Ideas for your friends and family too. You can still Support Lilly Scott when you wear our Scott Fan Merchandise as Lilly forges her own path in her Musical Career.
