The fall and October in particular is one of my favorite seasons. The air quality is crisp as the foliage begins to brighten the treelines- especially here in New England. Favorites such as hearty stews, chili, mulled cider, pumpkin pies and apple crisp are rockin' the autumn menu. Also- can NOT forget the fine brews that make their way onto the shelves for a limited time. The days may indeed start to get shorter, but that also gives us more time to enjoy a longer Night Life. That's right, October is the Time for Oktoberfest!

According to Wikipedia..."Oktoberfest is a 16–18 day beer festival held annually in Munich, Bavaria, Germany, running from late September to the first weekend in October. It is one of the most famous events in Germany and is the world's largest fair, with more than 5 million people attending every year. The Oktoberfest is an important part of Bavarian culture, having been held since 1810. Other cities across the world also hold Oktoberfest celebrations, modeled after the Munich event."

According to US- Oktoberfest should be Everyday! Yep, I'm such a Beer Hound aka Bier Hound, especially during this time of year. That brings us to the Oktoberfest Emblem design featured at the top of this post. Featured here is our beer drinking German Shepherd holding a frosty mug of Bier. The colors of the German flag serve as the emblem's background along with the German cheer- Prost.
